Me in a nutshell

Hi! I’m Bea Cabrera, a Fulbright Scholar Filmmaker (MFA)Engineer (BFA) and Graphic Designer (BFA).

Freelance director/DP/editor and occasional problem solver (a.k.a. AD) with a passion for big cities & film and a weakness for the smell of freshly ground coffee. Originally from Spain, moved to Germany in 2012, and currently based in Los Angeles.

Hit me up for a chance to meet up and work together. I want to hear about your projects and/or pitch you my own. With a pretty versatile background I thrive on set and also love spending time at my computer station. So anything goes for me as long as it’s thoughtful, meaningful and overall an interesting experience!

One Way

The story of how often expats become detached from their home places but can’t still fit in the new place, hence having a feeling of rootlessness and uncertainty on where and why they are heading to. Coming to terms with not being able to always be there and still letting friends and family know you care so much about them.

Shot in a long take oner on a steadicam, One Way is my MFA thesis project, currently in postproduction. Help us fund this ambitious adventure by donating to our crowdfunding campaign here: We will LOVE you for that!
