A project about space and time.

The main idea behind the project was to transfer time coded strips of video footage, i.e. a filmstrip, into a space again.

The process was to project footage with a UV beamer (I finally used a normal one, the results are also noticeable, but UV light is ideal) onto phosphorescent painted material (displaced in a semi circular manner). The paint would react with the light and display a frame of the video. The beamer should pan steadily from left to right, just as the camera did when filming, in order to end up with a semicircular space reflecting the video, and thus bringing it back into space.

To achieve the correct movement of the tripod I had to program an Arduino Circuit Board to move a servo. The rest of the assembly required a bit of DIY skills and having a pretty big living room.
